Bluegrass Programmer Rusty Brown has the longest tenure of anyone at WEPG, having started hanging out at the original studio while in high school, and received his FCC license in 1969. He started playing bluegrass about that time, and has been a member of several bands over the years.

He along with Promotions Director Travis Hickman originated The Bluegrass Show in 1989, and has twice received the People’s Choice Award as Best DJ in the Sequatchie Valley.
